Sonic Drive-In is an American drive-in restaurant chain based in Oklahoma, founded in 1953 and quickly grew to an estimated 3,500 restaurants serving approximately 3 million customers per day. In 2011, Sonic Drive In was ranked 10th of the top 50 fast casual restaurants in the USA. Many know Sonic Drive-In for it’s use of roller skates and it’s annual top skating carhop event.

On the Sonic Drive-In menu you can find an assortment of fast food including burgers, coneys & hot dogs, chicken, snacks & sides, kid’s meals, breakfast, drinks, frozen food, everyday deals and grilled sandwiches. If you’re not familiar with Sonic Drive-In then why not take a visit to www.SonicDriveIn.com to find out more about the fast food restaurant, and use the online restaurant locator to find a Sonic Drive-In near you.

What do I need to participate?

  • You must have a PC or mobile device connected to the Internet
  • A receipt from any of Sonic Drive-In restaurants, 14 days valid.

How to participate in the Talk To Sonic Survey?

  • Go to the www.TalkToSonic.com website to begin your Sonic Drive-In survey
  • Enter the ID found at the bottom of your receipt, and click Start
  • Continue to complete required questions, including about the products and services offered and your overall opinion of your experience whilst at Sonic Drive-In.
  • Fill in your contact information ensuring this is correct as you will be given a validation code which you can then use to redeem special gifts offered as a thank-you for participating.

If you’ve recently visited one of the many Sonic Drive In restaurants and would like to be rewarded for your honest opinion then Talk To Sonic is a great way to express your thoughts to the company directly. I strongly believe any restaurant which listens to it’s customers is a good one – by participating in the TalkToSonic survey you will be helping Sonic Drive-In’s to improve their customer experience and already great tasting fast-food.

today is feb. 22, 2013. i received a reciept on 2/12/2013 from gassville sonic #5427. it said if i took your survey within 14 days of my purchase of a route 44, then i would receive a free drink. i have tried and tried to do your survey from your talk to sonic website and it will not let me enter any information but will only tell me that the survey time has expired. the time has not expired! also why would it say this when i just click on the website without entering any information. the id# on this receipt is 542702120124. just thought you should know what was happening when i tried to use your website.

  4. I have a problem in certain areas of your menu, I don’t understand c/o your Vanilla Dish, and certain drinks. What is it? in certain areas, I have ordered the same thing I order a few blocks from my house or in other areas,(vanilla dish) which is a $1.00 over here in Channelview on Woodforest, and the service there is #1; howver when I go right there on Wallisville theirs is $1.60 and other places, why is that and it’s the same size container, and less ice cream, I don’t understand that. If it’s going to cost more then serve it in another container and put more ice cream, because that’s senseless.

  6. Hi Ama, I would possibly take into the store and see if they can do something about this. Ensure your receipt is no longer than 14 days old or else it may not be valid to use on the Talk To Sonic survey.

  13. Can I use the ID# at the bottom of all my Sonic receipts or just the receipts saying to go take the survey? I have put in the ID# that is at the bottom of my receipt that doesn’t mention the survey and it still gives me a validation code. Is that ok or is that not allowed? LOVE MY SONIC DIET COKE

    • Trocky.. on the TalkToSonic website it doesn’t mention whether it needs to mention go to take survey or not so I would give it a try. But do ensure your receipt is not any older than 14 days.

      • My receipt is only 3 days old and it tells me it over 14 days past the original date which is 6/13, what a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. I stopped at sonic in Delhi, LA today and attempted to order food. The order button on the stall did not work so I moved to an adjacent stall and made an order, but the card reader was cracked and would not work. After a 30 minute wait I still had not received my order (hotdog & drink). THE EQUIPMENT IS BROKEN AND THE EMPLOYEES ARE TOO STUPID TO CARE. DON’T STOP AT SONIC IN DELHI, LA!

  22. I just left the Sonic located on South Broadway in Englewood, Colo. and had a less that enjoyable meal. After I pulled into a space and had sat there for awhile an employee started powerwashing the parking lot. Not only was it extremely noisy but he sprayed as close as 10-12 feet from my car – convertible. He wasn’t stopping so I moved to another spot. After sitting there for just a short time a leak started in the overhead structure and rusty water dripped down on me. At this time I figured that was enough and left the area. The worker was still happily washing away with several more customers in his direct line of fire.

  24. I have filled out the customer satisfaction survey and received my code. The last screen says I must return to the Sonic where I made my purchase. When I called the 866 number previously to see if I could use my coupon at any location I was told I could. I am in Lawrence frequently but my Sonic ‘of choice ‘ is just down the street here in Topeka. Is it true I must return to Lawrence? How much time do I have?

  25. You guys are a ripoff, I went to my local sonic on 6/7/13, came home and attempted to enter my ID number on the web site and it kept telling me that the number was invalid. So I waited a couple of days 6/10/13 and tried to enter my ID number again and it said that my number was invalid, I tried to enter it 3 more times and then it told me it was more than 14 days past the expiration date. You either need to fix the problem or discontinue the deal.

I have tried and tried to take the survey and it won’t let me. I now have 2 free drinks I can not get! I have always loves Sonic, but if I can’t take the survey and get my drinks I will have to think about changing where I go! There always seems to be a problem with these surveys. Sad to find out things don’t work as they say they do.

  27. I stopped at the Sonic on South Green River Road in Evansville, Indiana on Tuesday June11th at 4:05. I ordered a bag of ice and said I had a route 44 survery reciept. I was told i could not have the free drink unless I ordered food. I said it didn’t say that on the survery. She said Its a new corporate policey. Pause, do you want the order. I said yes. A little later she brought my drink but no ice. I had to pay her $1.13. I ask where is my ice. She said I’ll go get it and the root beer. She came back with ice and another 44 root beer (which I didn’t want) and charged me $2.85 . Really two root beers? all I wanted was ice and $1.59 a bag and my free 44 route beer. I ended up paying $3.98 plus tip(yes I always tip). So what goes. Is this a new policey.

  28. Went to Sonic in Ballinger TX this past Saturday (6/22/13) to pickup phone in order – still had to wait awhile. Then came back after 8pm to get Milkshakes (you know 1/2 off after 8PM). Took over 20 minutes for them to make 3 small milkshakes and then they were runny! There were not that many customers there. The people on both sides of my car left frustrated without their food/drink because it was taking so long to get orders out. One car had ordered drinks only and had been there longer than me! When I pushed the button to find out what in the world is taking so long, they apologized and said the order was on the way out – well about 5 minutes later the girl finally brought it and looked harried and apologized but no tip for her! She said their ice cream machine was broken – well why didn’t they tell me that when I ordered?????
Very disappointed in service, food was okay. Glad I don’t live there but my parents do and they eat there a lot.

  29. My wife and I recently visited one of your restaurants to try the new pretzel dogs only to be told they were sold out. In checking other sonics in our area all were sold out. My question to you is WHY? You advertise on national tv a product that is not available. Why? Very disappointed.

The reason I visited ws to pick-up food for the family. When I arrived home and opened the Sonic Burgers took two bites and noticed something did not tatse right opening the burger I found wilted salad, burn bacon, way over cooked hamburgers, cheese so thick I need a knife to remove it. Manonaise was a big blob. awoke at 3;00 am sick as sick can be found out later I had food poisioning. Finally started feeling better later that evening . This experience broke me on using sonic drive-ins. I usually do stop at sonic when I travel but No more. So be careful if you are still using sonic. Ticket ID 5022108220219

I went to the sonic on yellowstone in idaho falls, id. It took 15 minutes from the time I placed my order, I timed it, to the time i left which was after waiting in line over 15 minutes to even get to the drive thru speaker. I had time to go to the neighboring car wash to take my little one potty and walk back before i got my food. My 4 year old’s kids meal was wrong. The only thing in it that was correct was the main item. I did not get any sauces for my chicken or fries. My other meal i asked for fries and got tots. I received random food that was not part of my order. It was ridiculous. I then went to do the survey and they did not give my the order receipt, just the card authorization one that doesn’t have a survey code. The order taker was snippy at best. I now remember why i haven’t gone to sonic in over 3 years!

  34. I’ve given our newly built Sonic in our home town adequate time to better themselves . however it seems as if it’s getting worse. Service is awful plus most of the time the order is wrong even when it was correct on the screen.
Tonight was the last straw. We went for the Big Box deal. Yeah it might be petty on my part but the boxed deal came out in a paper sack. Guess we got THE PAPER SACK DEAL!! I was finishing eating me chili cheese dog and found a little extra in it, the plastic thing that holds bread closed.
Then we decided to get a half price master blast. Ordered it without whipped topping, got it anyway ..VERY DISAPPOINTED! !
